why do tattoos have to have such deep significance? and if they do, why do you publish them on our body... don't get me wrong i can't stand the lower back tat, or the lame barbwire, but what ever happened to having a tat because it was JUST art. i hear quite to often "i am getting a tattoo which is soooo personal, it has sooooo much meaning to me", well here's an idea fuck face... if its sooooo personal, don't ink it on your fucking skin for the remainder of your cliche life. the photo is of Sailor Jerry, an actual sailor who enlisted in the navy before the second world war. Jerry is somewhat of a godfather in the tattoo world, inking the images of swallows, naked hawaiian women, anchors, flowers, eagles and american flags in to mainstream culture.
